Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico, was born to an adored family of musicians. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, boleros from the past, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. She began singing and learning music with her mother, she began her more intensive singing training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs and chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move from Mexico to the United States around 2000, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She's a regular solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions singing traditional Latin American Music. Ana is involved in a variety of local organizations, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her passion for music and arts. Ana is also a past part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will inspire a love, especially in the younger generations, for keeping this music in the present.
