Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is well-known for her the roles she played in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child of Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her career in show business at an early age. When she turned 16, Alexandra had landed leading roles in several television dramas. In the Oscar-nominated film Downfall the role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also highly praised. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra's professional career has included participate in several significant national and international productions. The projects comprise British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as in addition to the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
